Tysta Mari
Tysta Mari was a famous coffee shop and restaurant in Stockholm, Sweden very popular with artists, intellectuals and journalists. It was established by Maria Christina Lindström (1806–1895) in 1834 on the intersection of Jakobsgatan and Drottninggatan. ==Overview== It got its name meaning "Silent Mary" as a description the café's unobtrusive way of doing business and serving. Tysta Mari later moved to a location on Tegelbacken. The business continued even after its founder's death and closed its doors finally in 1954 when the locale Tegelbacken was demolished for renovations and building of a more modern edifice. In Sweden, the description 'Tysta Mari cafes' are given to cafés with a good range, solid service and quiet and decent customers.
